We explored the streets and alleys of the ancient city of Ohrid under the glow of the sunset, listening to Damian share numerous interesting stories and his own experiences growing up there. He skillfully balanced the parts that tourists enjoy with aspects closely related to the lives of the locals. In the approximately 90-minute tour, he seamlessly wove together elements of scenery, architecture, history, culture, and even tips on which souvenirs are worth choosing, ensuring there were no dull or silent moments. He also set aside time for the five participants to introduce themselves, get to know each other, and exchange many interesting travel experiences. At the end of the tour, he even treated us to the most authentic local Baklava and some delicious tea, something I’ve never experienced on any other Guruwalk tour before. He was incredibly friendly and attentive, passionately showcasing every aspect of Ohrid, the world heritage city, to visitors from around the globe. This was by far my best Guruwalk experience.”

It’s truly unlike anything I’ve seen in the tourism industry. He’s one of the good ones and I highly recommend you sign up for his tour to get a real locals perspective.”
